Cycling Central PA for Fun and Fitness

Hello everyone,

I am new to the area and was looking for some regularly scheduled weekend road rides in the York area. I have been riding the rail trail since I am not familiar with the local roads and prefer to ride on roads in a group. (I have been struck by a couple of vehicles while riding alone.) I noticed that there are no regular rides scheduled in the event section for this fall and was wondering if I am looking in the right place. According to the ride classifications on this site, I would like to start around a C+ level. I would also like to meet some riders who are doing some century rides this fall. I did 75 miles at the three creek century last weekend and had a great time. I saw a few water bottles from Gung-Ho but did not meet any riders from York.

Thanks,

Keith

Hi Keith, Toms Ride is on Sunday. If you cant find someone to hook up with you could at least learn some roads in the east end. I have 2 -15mile courses, one hard with food mid way, one easy. A very hilly 30 and a 60 miler also with food stop. Plus to boot, Its for a great cause! Tom

Thanks Tom, I have not been riding many hills this year, but the easy 15 sounds like a good way to meet some people and learn the area.
