Event Description

Sunday morning winter time mountain bike ride. 7.25 miles of trail per loop which usually takes us just over an hour to ride. If it's really cold that seems to be enough for everyone. If not there's opportunity to turn around and ride a bunch of it in the opposite direction. Beats riding the trainer doesn't it? I've scheduled these rides for every Sunday through the end of March.
THESE RIDES ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION DEPENDING ON A BUNCH OF STUFF, INCLUDING DEEP SNOW. CHECK THE www.ycscu.com WEBSITE BY 8 PM SATURDAY NIGHT.
Beer and brats cooked over the Vogelzang directly following the ride. I'll have a pot of coffee on for before and after too. Donations of food and drink are always welcome.

10-4 on that. I can ride it all with my Flyte CX and it does pretty well. I'm set up with straight bars and levers which IMO makes the bike a lot easier to handle in the trails. You'll need some tread on the tires as there's about 2 inches of snow down right now and I don't think it's going away between now and Sunday morning. Hope you can make it!

I ride it on my rigid singlespeed and it's fine, but there are some logs and rocks, it's not just all groomed singletrack. Most of the fast portions are clear though and should be fine for a cross bike. I can only think of one short uphill section where you'd have trouble. I think Andy rides it on a hybrid cross/mtb sometimes.
